“The gods are gone, the dragons sleep, and the empires of old lie broken. But the fires of mortal of ambition burn brighter than ever.” - Sevrien Vallénaire, Final Entry of the Crimson Archive
Menune is a world on the cusp of transformation — shaped by long forgotten gods, ruled by the rise and fall of mortal empires, and now splintered into fractured realms where ancient magic and steel still decide the fate of nations.
Menune is a high fantasy setting rich in mythic history, political intrigue, and cultural conflict. It spans continents from the war-torn human lands of Narador, to the mythical realms of the Elves, and the sprawling, subterranean cities of the Dwarves.
The world is ancient, with layers of lost Ages beneath its surface. The world was once ruled by gods, then by dragons. Now, the age of mortals is at hand.
Menune’s past is divided into mythic Ages:
- The Primordial Era – The world’s birth and the primordial age of gods.
- The Age of Dragons – Dragons rule the world; mortals rise under their shadow.
- The Age of Legends – Mortals forge empires; the world is torn by magic and ambition.
- The Age of Glory – Humanity founds the Chalois Empire; Elven and Dwarven civilizations reach new heights.
- The Age of Strife (current) – The Chalois Empire has collapsed. Undead hordes rise from the dark places of the world. Ancient powers awake once more. Mortal ambition carries a terrible cost. The world trembles.

- Faith and Power – The Church of Light rises as ancient gods remain silent.
- Race, Culture and Identity – Elves, Dwarves, and Humans all claim legitimacy — but who truly rules?
- Magic and Decay – Magic is powerful, but dangerous. Its sources may be tainted.
- Unity or Division? – Some seek peace. Others, conquest.
You stand at the edge of a fractured world. Whether as prince or pirate, prophet or soldier, your choices will shape the age to come. Will you restore what was lost, or build something new from the ashes of history?
