Melroy

Melroy is a large continent with 5 distinctive regions. Throughout must of it's history Melroy has been a place of conflict ranging from wars that watered the fields with blood and man versus the horrors and beasts that the world lay before them. The continent was in conflict until a time now known as Velorktashor in the giant's language but known to the little folk as "The hour the land trembled".   Melroy was once home to many kingdoms of all kinds of creature until a cardinal sin was committed deep within the land. At the heart of Melroy deep within the earth lies the Cluster of Kumas. A enormous gathering of crystals filled with the magic of Kumas's realm that he himself laid here when the oceans first flowed and the trees took their first breath. From the Cluster the land was changed and magic began finding its way into the world in all places and the world thrived until one day a servant of Golen (Kumas's brother and polar opposite) caused what is now know as the Crystalclism, where Kumas's saw the crystal as a gift of goodwill to the mortal realm, Golen saw only betrayal that his brother would gift the blessing of their realm to mere mortals. Thus the servant of Golen created their own crystal and collided it with the Cluster, a crystal of pure darkness, one that even the sun would maneuver its light around.   With the cluster overloading with negative energy the Cluster threw all of its power upwards and throughout the world causing crystals to reach the far lands. Melroy had been sundered entirely, civilization collapsing and the very land beneath the mortals turning against them. Where the Crystalclism destroying the world it also strangely brought hope. Deep within the earth there lived a race of humanoid like titans known as Giants, with their very home within the land sundered and the intrusion of the sun into their lands after the Crystalclism lead the giants to abandon their home to come to the surface. quickly finding themselves superior in every way to mortals in terms of strength, knowledge and mysticism they united the realm after its destruction and began leading it back from the abyss.   The age now 1000 years past, the lands are as they were thanks to the giants, where green fields grow and children laugh with glee, but the land remains changed where the crystals began to corrupt and twist at any given time due to the unstable magic that still rests all around and with the giants seemly gone from the world who stands to turn back the tide of chaos of crystals.
