Crakehall Holy Hogs

Origin and Mission

The Holy Hogs are a military religious order founded by Aubrey Crakehall, sister of the current lord of House Crakehall, following a divine revelation in which she saw her family members as the living embodiment of the Warrior among the Seven. This vision inspired the creation of the Holy Hogs, an order wholly dedicated to purifying the realm of impurities and heresies. The Holy Hogs firmly believe that House Crakehall has been chosen by the Seven to carry out this sacred mission and view its members as the embodiment of the Warrior, a pillar of divine strength and justice.

Ideology and Purpose

The Holy Hogs act with the goal of purifying the realm by removing any form of moral impurity or heresy to maintain devotion to the Seven and order within the realm. They believe that their mission is not merely an option but a sacred duty in the name of the Seven and House Crakehall, whom they see as guides and living examples of the Warrior's power.

Recruitment and Training

The Holy Hogs are inclusive in their recruitment: anyone, regardless of origin or status, can aspire to join the order as long as they pass the rigorous tests that demonstrate their devotion to the Seven and loyalty to House Crakehall. However, selection is extremely strict, and only the most devoted and resilient individuals can become Holy Hogs.

Tests of Faith and Resilience

Aspirants must undergo trials that challenge their physical endurance and devotion. These trials include long marches while reciting prayers, extended fasts as a demonstration of sacrifice, and purification rituals under extreme conditions, always dedicated to the Seven and House Crakehall. The aim is to show that they can endure any hardship for their faith and loyalty.

Tests of Devotion

Aspirants must also prove their devotion through ceremonies and religious rituals. They must participate in intense prayers, moments of reflection, and acts of service to those in need in the name of the Seven. This devotion is essential to ensure that each member of the Holy Hogs is fully committed to their sacred cause.

Training in Combat and Rituals of Faith

Once accepted, recruits train to become true instruments of the Warrior. They learn the arts of war as an extension of their faith, understanding that every act of combat is a sacred service. Training includes battle tactics and weapon use, complemented by daily rituals to reinforce their devotion and spiritual purity.

Code of Conduct

The Holy Hogs adhere to a strict code of conduct based on their devotion to the Seven and absolute loyalty to House Crakehall.

Purification and Sacrifice

They believe their purpose is to purify the realm of all impurities that dishonor the faith, fighting against heretics and any threat to devotion to the Seven and House Crakehall.

Absolute Loyalty

Their loyalty to the Seven and House Crakehall is total and unquestionable. They view members of House Crakehall as divine representatives of the Warrior, and any act of disobedience or doubt is considered a betrayal of their faith.

Humility and Service

Despite their strength, the Holy Hogs practice humility and service as a demonstration of their devotion. They assist the poor and the weak in the name of the Seven, reflecting the values of the Warrior.

Relationship with the Paladins of the Seven Order (The Burning Roses)

To ensure the continuity and purity of the order, the Holy Hogs recommend that their members reproduce preferably among themselves. This practice aims to preserve the integrity and devotion of the order in future generations. Although it is not a strict imposition, it is viewed as a way to ensure that new generations maintain their sacred commitment to the Seven and House Crakehall.
