She is deeply loyal to her niece and nephew, Rhaena and Cedric, and has devoted herself to ensuring their safety and the strength of House Templeton. While she allows the twins to take the public stage, she quietly manages the machinery of their house—taxes, lands, alliances, and resources—ensuring the stability of Templeton’s future. History

Lady Berena Templeton was never meant to lead. As the younger sister of House Templeton’s patriarch, she had long lived in the shadows of her more prominent siblings. However, when the tragic deaths of her ruling brother left House Templeton vulnerable, Berena stepped forward to assume the role of acting regent. Though she was never prepared for such a responsibility, she embraced the mantle without hesitation, guiding the house through uncertain times. She has spent the years since carefully managing the House’s affairs, taking on the role of stewardess to ensure its continued survival and growth. Though she relinquished the public face of leadership to Cedric, and later to Rhaena, Berena remains the backbone of Templeton, her quiet influence felt in every corner of the House. Her secret fear is that, one day, she may be forced to choose between the twins, as their paths diverge more each day—only one of them may last the trials ahead, and she knows it may not be possible to save them both.
