Calendars of Luxum

There are many different cultures in Meintalia and many of them use different calendars. A year is 365 days ong across all cultures, but the number of days in a week and month and the number of months in a year differs uniquely between each culture. Below is a list of all calendars used in Meintalia along with the cultures that use them.

The Empirical Calendar

The most widely used calendar in Meintalia, all cultures know of and use the Empirical Calendar, though not as their primary calendar. The only races and cultures that use this one primarily are Humans, Merfolk and Gnomes. It consists of 12 months and the weeks are 7 days long.

The Dwarven Calendar

The calendar used since the Elder Age by the Dwarves and Dwarven cultures, as well as the Giants and Kalukons. It consists of 15 months, though one is only 5 days long, and the weeks are 6 days in length.

The Elven Calendar

The calendar used by Elves, Elven cultures and Centaurs, it is often credited as the first calendar created. It consists of 8 months and weeks are 5 days long.

The Orcish Calendar

The calendar used by Orcs, Orcish cultures and supposedly intelligent subcultures of Trolls and Goblinoids. It has 19 months and the weeks are 5 days long.

The Sahlakah Calendar

The calendar used by the Sahlakah and Sahlakesh cultures in Meintalia. It's very similar to the calendar used in Sashakar other than the final month is split in half with the latter half being put at the beginning of the calendar. There are 5 months (4 in the standard calendar) and weeks are 5 days long.

The Noxum Calendar

The years in Noxum are only 350 days long so the Luxum version of the calendar adds an additional month to even out the calendar. This calendar is used solely by the Demi-Fiends that came through the rifts from Noxum seeking refuge during Faramel's Invasion. The calendar consists of 8 months (7 traditionally) and weeks are ten days long.

The Pogonian Calendar

The calendar used by the Pogonians in Meintalia. It is a simple calendar that consists of 4 months and weeksconsist of 6 days.
