The Noble House di Verpauroit

The island nation of Reguellaime, located in the northwest Ermothine Sea, comprises of numerous provinces and duchies, each of whom in turn is further divided into smaller earldoms, typically governed by a local lord or lady of a noble family. One such family are the Verpauroits, a house whose lineage can be traced at least four centuries back, when Reguellaime had not yet expanded its influence to the surrounding islands and instead had been striving to strengthen its own sovereignty.

The ancestral seat of House di Verpauroit is a grand château made primarily of limestone, built atop a rocky hillock near the village of Corcoin, in the earldom of Verpaux, which in turn is part of the province of Montequillain. The family name literally means "those hailing from Verpaux".

A widely known member of the House of Verpauroit is Cormelgo di Verpauroit, a chancellor of the Ermothine Coalition, and a very influential individual in the political landscape of east Ermoth.
