Mourning Prayer to the Solitary Mistress

All mortals come into this world destined to die,   in vain death is evaded and years by us fly,   till one day comes when we shall feel that our end is nigh,   that we will draw our final breath and in the earth shall lie.     Upon this hour thy name we call, as we despair and cry,   thee, who eternally -'fore time itself- dwells high up in sky.   Blessed be thou who cradles us as we depart, when we feel lost and weary,   and thus upon this dire hour spare us from fates detested, dark, and eerie.       We beseech thee, Mother, forget us not,   though in the past thee we forgot.   Let us thine realm to tread come morn,   lest darkness claims us with ceaseless scorn.

And though in the light of Day We seek you and call out Lest the fates of night linger in our waking dreams. Oh sweet Mother.   I see thee, A magnificent and glorious visage Oh Mother to see thee alone Wrought naught by the soul in which we gave I see thee and ask time, Grant us yet another day.   -A prayer to a distant world   I love this, I like your concept of The Solitary Mistress!

May you find the truth as it billows through the branches...
