Session VI : Rising Tensions Report
General Summary
Morning comes, and slowly the party descends into the bar, where Oswald meets them with morning greetings. Eryst comes down first, sitting at the bar and ordering something for her hangover( a Juju-be). Around the bar, a dozen or so Mountain Goliath sit about, drink and talk. Jinfei comes down soon after and joins Eryst, Jug after that. As Jug entered, the room atmosphere changed, many of the Mountain Golaiths not liking the fact that Jug was in the room. One made an offhanded comment, calling Jug a Bawiagi(racial slur). Jug not liking that fact called out the Goliath, returning the slur Budeulon Seukin, and challenging the offensive Golaith to a duel outside.
Eryst, Jinfei and Jug exited the tavern and waited, coming out the Goliath didn't seem to have any intention of fighting Jug. Further insults were thrown, and with it tempers were lost. The dual was quick, as the offending Golaith was quickly dealt with, both shoulders heavily injured before Jug intimidated him into fleeing. Returnin inside, Eryst and Jinfei went back to the bar to see Oswald talking with an odd Orc, who intoduced hisself as Shade. Jinfei tried to be friendly with him, and in return was given a threatening statement and later noticed a note that simply asked " how are your companions?"
Celdric coming down to see the end of the fight, had a brief talk with everyone before deciding to get some last minute shopping out of the way, as well as sell the Elders Ends cargo. Heading to the trade house, on the other side of the Tranquil Tavern, got prices and sold the cargo.
Mo coming down now, after spending the night with one of the Tavern girls Jill, and explained that he was going to go see "nana" at the Tunnel entrance and talk to them before the left, and went to follow the defeated Goliaths. Getting most of the way to the Tunnel, the streets soon filled with beings as the Tunnel was closed due to the yearly pilgrimage from Fu-Jen. Seeing the redwood ent, Mo walked over and after a conversation told the group that they could travel with them on their ship to ignore the Tunnel and get to their village.
Eryst, Jinfei, Jug and Celdric went back out to The Shining Moon magic weapon shop, Celdric trading his magical headband for quite a haul of goods including Jinfei's claw weapons. After which, Celdric split to go talk to the warehouse about delivering the cargo while Eryst, Jug and Jinfei left to go and find a weapon shop that could combine Jug's weapons into a single piece. Following Jug, the found themselves at what once was a blacksmith but had been refurbished to be a book shop, The Pen is Mightier then the Sword, None but Jinfei could enter due to the size, a Pseudodragon named Pelip Ficts owns the small business; what she called her hoard. After the group searched a bit longer and found The Anvil, a massive blacksmith owned and run by a Pyrocalstic Dragon. He said he could do what was asked for quite a large sum on coin.
The party soon returning to Elder's End, and everyone explained what they all did. As such, Jug was reunited with his family as Mo had brought them back to the ship to get transport from the city. Eryst not really able to help with the heavy cargo saw Shade again, watching the party. When she wen to go investigate it, she found he had fled but had left some kind of ash symbol on the ground. Concerned a bit, Eryst and Jinfei went to go check on Patrin and Diogo, who had not been seen all day, upon entering their rooms in the tavern the found similar ash symbols on the ground.
