Session II : Retreat from Westerhold Report
General Summary
Resting for the night, the party took some time to meet one another over some breakfast. Patrin Jr, being the last one to come down due to armor, noticed thru the morning fog town guard moving outside. Acting quickly he came down and informed the rest of the party, who thinking quickly went outside to escape. Upon exiting, the party met human monk who was traveling past, {Chris Character}. Informing the party that they were charged with being cultist and were the ones who brought forth the Dracolich on Demmish, and were to be put under arrest and to come with them to the Keep of the local Lord. Unable to escape Patrin opened conversations, being a former guard himself, and convinces the Guard Captain to check them over and then let them move on as this is all a large misunderstanding. As the Captain and his guard approach, the Captain takes an arrow to the skull and dies, thus thrusting the party into combat with the guard. Quickly dispatching most of the guard, with not but a few left unconscious but alive, heard the sound of more guards approaching.
Running from the sounds of reinforcements, the party ran thru the streets of Westerhold. Crossbow bolts fly all around them as they flee, using what spells and attacks they have as more guards make chase. A gray wizard eventually coming into the battle and began to return spell fire back at the party, Mo using his javelins kept interrupting the casting of the Wizard. Exiting the morning fog, now realizing it was a spell to try and keep them confused, the party flees toward the river. Three boats sit docked on the river, the party destroying two of them before taking the third, fleeing down stream. With the help of Celdrik, who was a sailor, teaching the others the basics the party managed to get away, escaping into the Sea of Lashwin shores. Finding a place to rest after a long day of sailing, the party made landfall and camp to sleep off the days activites.
