Over the centrueis of exiled dwarves slowly coming together and intermingling, the Dark Dwarves are the result.  Not having a true home clan or part of major dwarf society they tend to be reclusive and not want to deal with any of the other clans and the clans feel the same way as these dwarves are the children of those who were exiled.
