The Legendary Swordsman begins his travels.

In the year 44, Manabu Hashimoto, youngest brother of the second Lord Hashimoto, took up the Daisho and was blessed by the Phoenix Emperor as a Samurai of Rai’jen. Manabu was commonly called the greatest swordsman of his generation. He travelled the lands surrounding the Sea of Shards and his deeds rapidly became legend to his countrymen.
Potential students trailed the great master through the Sea of Shards, leading to the settlement of a number of smaller villages through the islands. It is said that his travels ended, in Year 67, when he singlehandedly defeated the great wyrm topaz dragon, Jerzakopith. After defeating the beast, Manabu decided that there were no more challenges left for him to face.
So, he decided to dwell within the dragon’s cave and meditate on the nature of the Daisho. He became a renowned grandmaster, sought out by many samurai in the years following. Legend holds that Manabu was granted immortality for his perfection of the art of war so even modern Samurai have been known to attempt to seek out his cavern home
