Carlton Ramsey

Carlton Ramsey was Jackson Elias' lawyer, having worked with Elias from the time he became a professional writer. He managed book contracts, occasional legal entanglements, and Elias' finances. His office is located in Harlem, on the corner of 124th Street and Lenox Avenue. After Elias' murder, he became the executor of Elias' estate, and now he manages the Jackson Elias Fund for the Investigators.
He is full of nervous energy, speaking quickly and often fiddling with his coffee spoon, pen, or anything else his hands rest on. He was one of the few people to appear at Elias' funeral. His only employee is Willa Sligh, his secretary, who is also his niece and protégé.
