New York City Campaign Rules in Marvel Earth 2222 | World Anvil

New York City Campaign Rules

GM(s): BP (primary, play by post), Rick (voice)

Cast: Open

1: Each player will be allowed a total of 3 characters (you are in no way required to have 3, but it is important to remember that having less may limit the situations and circumstances under which you can participate):   - 1 character will be PBP only. This character will not be permitted for use in voice sessions unless there is a special event going on that cannot be accommodated in pbp form. You will be informed if a session is intended for that kind of event.   - 1 character will be hybrid PBP and voice. This character can be used between the two, but will not be allowed in a drop in session if they are involved in an event in the pbp timeline that would keep them away.   - 1 character will be voice only.
2: Characters will be reviewed and approved by both Rick and BP, to ensure a smooth transition in the event that something changes and you wish to transition a voice character to pbp or vice versa. Please designate whether a character is voice only, pbp only, or hybrid at the time you submit them.
3: Power points will be awarded in the following manner:   - All characters who participate in play by post storylines will be awarded power points at the end of a "chapter" in the story. These will vary depending on the chapter, its length, and what was involved.   - Drop in characters will receive 1 power point per standard (~5 hour) session, and 2 power points for "marathon (>5 hour) sessions.   - Special events, whether they occur in PBP or Voice, will be awarded power points based on the event itself. GMs will determine power points on a case by case basis with the different events.
4: Pick up voice games will have a hard cap of 5 players.
5: In the event you want to request a game be run, please approach Rick via DM.   - Players who had their Vernas session canceled will be given priority.
6: Requesters will be allowed to bring 1 or 2 other players in with them. - In the event only one player requests a session, they will be able to choose 2 others to be guaranteed a seat at the table.   - In the event two players request a session at the same time, each player will be allowed to guarantee a seat for a single person of their choice.   - In the event of three or more players requesting sessions on the same nights, requesters will be given priority and any open seats will be offered to others at GM discretion.
7: It is requested that you not accept an invitation to a session if you have reason to believe you may be late or may have to cancel at the last minute. Obviously life happens and we know some people who are getting off of work shortly before a session begins so things can happen, but if we notice a pattern of a player reserving a seat at a session and then showing up late, thus holding up or disrupting session, they will be moved down the list in priority for future games.   - If you are aware a session is happening and would like to have a chance to participate but may be late or your availability is uncertain, please approach Rick via DMs and ask to be on a waitlist. This will be utilized in the event that game time rolls around and all slots are not filled.
