Atla
The island of Atla is talked about in folk tales as a lost land of savagery. Although it is inhabited by many terrifying beasts, its occupants are no less sapient than the citizens of the other nations.
Among the high mesas and shifting sands of Atla's deserts, the crumbling ruins of ancient civilisations can be found.
Most foreigners have only heard of Atla through stories, and its reputation makes the very few adventurers who cross the ocean to the mainland feared and reviled. Attitudes towards the rest of the continent varies between groups and individuals, but most see foreign lands as distant and frightening.
Structure
There is no central authority on Atla. Instead, the people, mostly orcs, are associated in various clans and tribes. The clans, led by chiefs and elders, are mostly nomadic pastoralists, following their livestock with the changing seasonal weather.
