Coeland Desert

The center of the world, but pretty mundane.

The desert in the middle of Coeland . A sandy and dry place. but thriving with all sorts of animal life, from small to massive. The desert gets extremely little rainfall, but plenty of waterholes fueled by deep and vast aquifers provide all the water multiple deserts would need. Thickets surround each of these waterholes, boating plenty of plant and small animal life. hundreds of animals gather at each waterhole to drink, hunt, and rest. The large amount of animals lower on the food chain help maintain very large creatures like the Turtle Beetle or the legged sandwyrm. The city at the center of the world is rumored to be contained within the desert, though no-one looking for it has found a scrap of the city. The legend seems to stem from the fact that coeland desert is, in fact, at the center of the world. crossing the desert is necessary to get from one side of coeland to the other by land

Geography

A very dune-y desert in the center of coeland, with many perpetual oasis scattered throughout almost evenly.

Fauna & Flora

The most notable fauna are the large ones, the turtle beetles standing many meters tall burrow under the sand and ambush, the legged sandwyrms stomping across the desert, gobbling up anything substantial it comes across, the motile fungtree slowly marching across the desert, providing shade and sanctuary for those who seek it. you can almost forget the many species of beetle, mouse, snake, lizard, crab, cat, and bush that inhabit the area.

Natural Resources

the desert is not an exploited recourse, but you can find pearl-stone hidden among the sand, and much food walking around.
