The old hermit and occasional wandering healer

Marcel (a.k.a. Hermitt Marcel)

Hermitt Marcel is a local Hermitt and soothsayer. It was said that long ago he was a wealthy merchant that would come to Lindenwin each year with a wagon full of goods until one day something changed. Hermitt Marcel never said what happened to him, but many speculate he was gifted with the grand visions from Marofax himself.

He would be elder if he’d stayed in town but now the old man is seen on occasion stumbling into town with furs and hides that he sells for cheap liquor before disappearing into the woods once more. On occasion Hermitt Marcel will give grave warnings about a coming darkness, but most just ignore him as an old crazy man.

Marcel is an alcoholic. He spends his free time making booze from whatever he can ferment, when he is not brewing his own hooch, he is drinking it and whatever he could get from town. Since becoming a hermit this has caused a number of issues, particularly with the training of his student.

Max

Max is Marcel's large aggressive mastiff that guards his hut and the area around it. Despite coming off as an insanely aggressive war dog, Max is friendly to those he is familiar with being described as a big puppy.

 

Navin Lindenwin

Marcel is close with Navin taking him in and showing him "How to Druid". The two have a master, apprentice relationship.
