Mourning Lovers Maze

All along the northwestern edge of the Old Pastel Town Neighborhood District lies the Mourning Lovers Maze.  This towering hedgemaze has existed at the boundry of the city for so long that no one is quite sure who built it or when it was built.  There are whispers that the maze just appeared there one day after two weeks of the worst storms the city had ever seen. The the maze grew out of the tears of mourning when the god's mortal lover died. These whispers claim that the marble statue of the Saint Lyra at the northern side of the maze, is really the goddess Lyra of Peace, and that the unnammed male statue on the southern end of the maze is the goddess's mortal lover Vabriel, who brought war to the fae.  And that the two lovers will eteranally be seperated by the trajety of their differeing desires, as the maze is constructed in such a way that it is impossible to get between the two statues.  
The maze has a haunted feeling about it, with a constant fog and an almost haunting hum in the air.  Even the air in the maze smells different than the rest of the city.  
No one is sure if the maze has ever been fully mapped out.  It is said to be difficult to traverse, and many stories have been passed around about people wandering to their deaths in the maze's depths.  To enter is to tempt the fate they all say.
