General Physical Condition
Lucian has an "average" muscular build. He is very toned but he is not muscular like a bodybuilder. He is taller than average and fairly thin. He has very angled features and pale skin

On his body he has a few battle scars. He has a couple long cuts accross his chest and abs, and a couple smaller cuts on his arms. His back is completely covered in old whip scars.
Facial Features
He has long raven hair, angled features, a small trimmed black beard, and intensely blue eyes. He has a pallor on his skin that might put some people off. Regardless of this, his presense and his looks are strangely alluring and people find they are drawn to him inexplicitly. He has objectively beautiful features but is slightly unsettling although people dont identify why that is.
He generally wears his raven hair down to cover his mildly pointed ears. He has slightly elongated incisors, and his skin is very pale.

Identifying Characteristics
He is mostly identified by outsiders by his taller height, piercing blue eyes, and long black hair. If you look closer you can see his eyebrow scar, his pointy teeth, and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of pointy ears.
Those that know him intimately know of his cool skin, scars from battle on his chest and arms, and his whip scars all down his back.

Lucian always seems to be fidgeting with things. He also has almost a supernatural grace. His skin is pretty cool to the touch and he seems to blend in pretty well even though he is very strange looking
Apparel & Accessories
He generally wears nice, loose and flowy clothes in an unobtrusive color. He many times wears an overcoat over that. that is black or dark blue/green. When travelling he will wear leathers or other lighter armor and will many times still keep the overcoat over this. A lot of times he accents his outfit with a neck tie and he will occasionally wear rings and amulets and other jewelry depending on occasion

Personal history
Growing up in Cyrus, Lucian was a prodigy child. He excelled at most of the things he attempted, and was the pride of his loving parents.They were fisherpeople, going out on the seas and casting nets until their hands bled and skin burned. His parents worked hard and taught him what they knew, but eventually they understood this wouldnt be enough for his voracious mind. They then scraped together their meager savings from farming the land and were able to hire some of the best private tutors around to give him a worthwhile education. He excelled at world and society studies and was particularly adept at politics. Everything sign pointed him to a higher societal status than his humble upbringings. Everything seemed to go according to plan until that fateful day. Both of Lucians parents died suddenly in a massive storm. The wreckage of the ship was found a town over and in the middle of mourning he was whisked away to some family members in Blackstone. They were horrible adoptive parents, constantly beating and whipping him for even the most minor infractions, giving him countless scars across his back, as well as sequestering him away and banning him from reading and education. When he came of age he left his cloistered life in Blackstone, and escaped his adoptive realatives who he hated so much, and took the first boat he could afford back to his homeland Cyrus. While in this country he decided to go to the capital. He eventually made it there fighting highwaymen and monsters along the way. When Lucian arrived he took up an apprenticeship at a bakery and participated in town projects until he saved up some coin and was such a respected member of the community that we was added to the town council.
Now adays he does his civic duties and travels around Cyrus and surrounding countries in his spare time.

Lenora Harlow - mother Few people know of early life apart from this story, and fewer still know that full story. Firstly, Lucian was never from Cyrus. He originally came from Blackstone. His parents were never fisherman. He did have loving parents, who were part of a powerful family. He got great education through their connections. His mother was immortal elf as part of an longstanding immortal family who took the curse. An elf who accepted the darkness in order to fight it. A noble sacrifice to keep the world safe. In a family of cursed protectors. She was one of the nicer ones, but the curse left a hole in her that she could never fill. A need to consume. When Lucian was young she would have fits. In these she became unconsoleable. She would go into a trance like state of meditation trying to keep the urges at bay, or Lucian and his father would have to lock her up until they could feed her some pigs blood. These were few and far between, but Lucian was sure, as he grew, that they were getting worse. Sometimes, when he was older, he and his father would draw some of their own blood to mix in with the pigs blood too. They did this to try to slake the ever present thirst. When he was an older teen, there was a particularly bad fit from his mother. Lucian was out exploring around the cottage, and when he returned the house was eerily quiet. He crept through the house and pulled back the animal skin doorway to his mothers and fathers room and he saw her, crouched low over him, covered in his blood. His father was still, eyes stared lifelessly at the ceiling and mouth agape. Lucian's mother seemed unaware that the man she loved had died and was slowly drawing in his blood. He must have made a noise because then she looked up, and snapped back to reality. He ran and she followed, pleading with him to forgive her but he left and never came back. Deep down, he knows that she really does love him, but he can never forgive her for what she did. He doesnt blame her per say, but rather her affliction. When one is a two thousand year old cursed protector, ones mind starts to fray. Hunger gnawing at every thought and action, and the power to kill gods and demons alike. Her affliction killed the person she loved most in the world, and drove the other away.
Secondly, Lucian never went to his adopted parents in Blackstone and he never received a beating at the hand of a family member. He was on the run. Word got out that his father was dead. Some rumors about a demon giving her demon son a lesson in killing. Rumors about the psychopathic son killing both the father and mother. A tall lad with blue eyes and devilish air about him. He made it a while without notice, but was eventually captured. He was kept in solitary in a hellhole for a year. A count in Blackstone would visit him occasionally, gloating at him. Bragging about his part in Lucian's capture. Talking of his family and how they need to step in line. Eventually they let him go to general population. He learned how to fight, and fight dirty. He learned how to steal, and he learned how to lie. To tell people what they want to hear for survival. Make alliances and break treaties. It was here that Lucian believes society is at its most raw and real form. Where the basics of human survival, and the most pure form of societal contracts are exposed. After a many years in prison, receiving lashings and beating constantly, Lucian was approched by a person. This person gave him an offer, stay and wither and die in these walls, or escape and work for them. After spending so many years in confinement Lucian jumped to accept. After this he was trained in fighting, diplomacy, and deception. Given a path to gain political power, and asked for information, and occasional favors in return for this.

Hailing from the Northern most island of Cyrus, Lucian is a shrewd diplomat with a checkered past. He works as one of the councilpersons of Cyrus in his spare time. He is known as a great adventurer and competent fighter
