Vetrnætr

Held on the last day of October. The festival that marks the beginning of winter. If a viking party has not returned by Vetrnætr then they are assumed either dead or wintering wherever they sailed. This festival is used to commemorate and offer sacrifices to one's ancestors as well as those who have died the past year, especially those who died in battle.
