Sharbran Tree (Silver Oak)

The Sharbran Tree, often referred to as Silver Oak, is a type of tree found in the Darkot Forest. The tree is famous for having trace amounts of silver in it, making it a valuable resource. The decayed roots of these trees even enrich the soil around it with silver, leading to mud-farming and refinement, which hosts its factories within Daspeer.
The lumbering of this forest is handled by House Godfrey, one of the few human noble houses of the Empire of Ulstrom. Daspeer is the location of the lumber mill, and the home of the Godfreys. Due to the value of this resource, any unapproved deforestation in Darkot is a felony. House Starblight has appointed the Ebony Legion to watch over the harvest and production of the silver from the trees, in order to ensure that the citizens of Daspeer do not illegally harvest it, due to fear of it being used on behalf of the Order of the Silverblade. In addition, the Ebony Legion often patrols Darkot, as fear of Ss'Lathis'Ss, the devilish snake creature from Neo Infernos, has been known to make his home here, feeding on the silver content of the trees. Although the danger of this devil poses a threat to the empire, it also helps keep intruders away from the forest.
