The city of Rahn is in the midst of a Badlands, there is little farmable land, and hardly enough shrubbery to keep cattle alive. Food distribution is heavily monitored by the governing houses, and while there is enough food imported for everyone, only the wealthy can afford the luxury goods such as desserts, things that spoil or go stale quickly. Yet even for the poor, and the less fortunate, there still shines a ray of hope. That hope is the Sugarplum.
The Sugarplum is a large vessel that has been refitted with a large array of bakery and confectionary utilities. It makes rounds up the river <L'pel>, stopping at the major cities. When docked, the side of it opens to show a vast array of confectionists and bakers ready to deliver all sorts of high sugar content items to a sugar deprived peoples.
It was an old war carrack that was repurposed, the war aspects being replaced with a variety more day-to-day devices. This includes some rather unique on-ship gardens, that grow small amounts of various plants used in the process of making sweets.

Propulsion

Primarily uses sails, though going up and down a river means that more often then not the crew finds themselves rowing to get anywhere. Luckily the current is rather leisurely.

Nearly all weapons and offensive capabilities have been removed, unless you count a large number of ovens a weapon.
