Erba Sogno
Erba Sogno is a grass that stands around 2 feet high. It's a short-lived perennial that blooms from late spring through autumn. Each plant has around 7 to 10 rough stalks that grow from the base, but only the thicker middle stalk produces flowers. The top of the middle stalk produces a large number of bilabiate, white and pink flowers.
The main use of the Erba Sogno stalks is for treating restlessness, sleep disorders and shock. The stalks are brewed as a tea. In low doses, this acts as a sedative for the drinker. Higher doses also cause the drinker to feel immense pleasure, but are also highly addictive.
The flowers are used to get a rush and enter a hyperactive state. The flowers are dried out, crushed up, and mixed with water to form a paste that is applied to their cheeks and forehead. For the first minute after application, the user has an extreme rush and feels a large desire for more. After a minute, the rush lessens and leaves the user in a hyperactive state. The flowers can also be ingested, which gives the same extreme rush, but it lasts much longer and is believed to cause heart issues.
Many Pallina, especially in the more northern tribes, use the flowers before hunting or fighting. It is highly addictive and very effective on them. Other species also get the benefit, but to a lesser degree.
