Thread of Hunting: Big Magic

After gaining a piece of the monster they are hunting, some Hunters use this ancient ritual to track down their target. They manage to tie their piece to the physical creature and can use it to know the location of the monster at all times.

Effect

By crafting a relic, the hunter can use it to know the location of the monster it is attached to.

Side/Secondary Effects

Some Monsters are able to divine the location of the relic that is made from them.

Material Components

A Piece of the Monster, Sprig from a 1000-year-old pine, Gold Locket with Amber stone set in the middle.
Casting this ritual steals the essence of the Pine Tree, killing it.

Gestures & Ritual

The Ritual to craft this relic takes 2 hours and can only be done under the boughs of the Pine Tree that the Sprig was taken from.
