The Ymmari Dragonborn are stripped of their rights, imprisoned, forced into labor camps and executed en masse. The Purge Draconis was seen as a "necessary evil" by most races but was mainly enforced by humans in East Ymmaria and the Hobgoblin Tribes of West Ymmaria.
During its 72 year span millions of Ymmari are hunted and killed. The Draconic Purge was first halted in West Ymmarion, creating a small chain of islands that provided a refuge for the Dragonborn. This action ratcheted tensions between the East and West, and would prove to be a major factor in the coming centuries of conflict.
