Mal-Torak

Mal-Torak is the bloody god of war, battle and contest. He is not concerned with any happenings on the world of Malatoria save those that involve combat, war, battle and contest. Since they are plentiful, this god is usually quite happy. He cares not about the reasons for conflict, or the outcome, only that warriors fight and die, and men pit the spirits against each other in a forum of conflict.
Mal-Torak is often depicted as a tall armored man, lean with muscle and covered in blood. One of his eyes is covered with a patch and the other gleams with golden energy.
He is also believed to be covered with scars which are known by his devout followers as “mark of honor”. He is also said to appear as an enormous black bird with one gleaming golden eye. Typical iconographic images of this bloody god are the helm and spear. His primary colors are gold and blood red.
Since Mal-Torak is also the god of contest there is a special festival called Time of the Victors held in his honor every three years outside of Calorn.  This festival includes all types of martial contests as well as various sporting events. Other festivals in Mal-Torak’s honor may be held regionally on the anniversary of great battles or on the eve of battles yet to come.
