Gold Marais

The Gold Marais (Mah-RAY) is an expansive saltwater wetland/swamp located on the northern tip of East Ymmarion. It gets its name from the bright yellows, deep oranges, and and vibrant golden hues showcased by a number of the grasses, trees, and plant life that grows in abundance here. The Gold Marais boasts a vibrant ecosystem with a number of rare plants and animals.
For many years, eastern swaths of the Gold Marais have been cultivated into patties for rice and other grains by the kingdom of Sanctyra.
