Evelyn Profit
Evelyn Profit is the owner of The Ring tavern in Bariadan. “V” (as she is known by her patrons and friends alike) was once a master student of illusion at The Arcane Academy of Standopolis (a skill she puts to use in sprucing up the Ring’s appearance) and isn’t someone that should be dealt with lightly. She can see right through most people and is more than willing to have Whitey One-Tusk, her half-orc barman, show them to the door if she suspects raw dealings. Other than that, she is a generally good person and an excellent source of information – for a price, of course.
Evelyn also suffers from the effect of a powerful curse which has afflicted her with a sort of multiple personality disorder. She often uses her illusory powers to take on the form and persona of other people, much to the chagrin of her daughter Melwen Profit.
