The Tribe

Nature chained

"There are no forces of man I know of that are greater than nature. I have seen the hides of beasts take blows that would sunder armor, claws and teeth that rip through men as if they were grass, hooves neath which even the bravest men have fled. I would have only thought that man could cower from it try to live in harmony with it, live in the same area as the bear without poking it so to speak. I believed this until only a few minutes ago when I saw a collection of people take control of some of the most terrifying creatures I have yet to meet."                                                                                         -Unknown Ranger 876 A.I.

Tactics

The tribe has little in the way of tactics that it uses mostly replicating the tactics of whatever beast they are utilizing.

Training

Training within the tribe for combat is very minimal, with a greater focus on the the training of beasts and basic druidic magics.

Logistics

Logistical Support

Food is the biggest and most consistent needed support. Consistently feeding their beasts is chief amongst their necessities virtually everything else they can be self-sufficient.

The Tribe often works on its own while it can call for aid from the rest of the army they generally are self reliant.

Upkeep

While relatively high it is not as high as the forge, it is closer to a group of large ranches.

Recruitment

Recruitment has rapidly dropped off as the years passed with the tribe being fairly insular.

History

The tribe began as a goblin tribe known as the Hudgeggs which later took on the general disambiguation of the tribe. In it's early days it seems to have been no different than your average goblin tribe. They lived as peacefully as a goblin tribe could until one day when a newcomer arrived in their woods. This newcomer had a special kinship and has since been believed to be a druid of some sort. The Hudgeggs observed from afar learning a decent amount about the specialized magic of the newcomer presented. Eventually the head of the tribe combined this druidic magic with goblinoid and Khurgorbooyag.    Khurgorbooyag being a form of magic known specifically to goblins combining the goblin word Boo-yag (goblin for magic) and the name of the goblin god Khurgorbaeyag. Khurgorbaeyag being the gobin god of slavery and subjugation. The combination reveals this to be magic granted to goblins for the purposes of subjugation. Examples of this are found when people captured by goblins for an extended period of time not fighting against their captors, making no plans of escape, and being "off" after their release for several days to weeks. In any event the combination of the druidic magic and Khurgorbooyag allowed for a greater control over animals than either provided on their own. With this power the tribe greatly began to expand their influence at some point the newcomer attempted to stop the Hudgeggs but they ultimately failed.   Their reach expanded slowly as while they could control most any animal they came across they still had to feed them. Later others came to the tribe mostly other goblins at first they heard of the Hudgegg's power and desired to be on their side rather than against them. As their reached expanded slowly but surely other races began joining them mostly races that already had a strong connection to nature and druidic magic they either desired to understand the druidic Khurgorbooyag or were themselves pressed into service. As more races, families, and tribes joined under the Hudgegg banner it became more widely known as the tribe as opposed to the Hudgeggs. Though through it all the Hudgeggs remained the heads of the organizations even to this day the family head of the Hudgegg's remains the leader. Due to this leadership certain aspects of goblinoid culture remained intact namely an attempt to ally oneself with the strong; this ultimately led to their alliance with the Inleyan empire.

Historical loyalties

They have been loyal to a number of goblinoid hosts in the past including one that had the Van Sehns as a member. They ultimately joined the Inleyan empire as an attempt to not get wiped out themselves. After they became backed by the empire they gained power over a great many more beast including eventually the Tarrasque. Why the tribe didn't rebel after a certain point is believed to be a fear of the Nightdaughters given that even their beasts are unable to protect them from the Nightdaughter's hidden blades.
