Xersorrad - The White

The White Xersorrad

Legend has it that in the Pre-Elosian era, the midlands, as the territory that would one day belong to The Kingdom of Elos was known, were ruled over by a harsh, but fair dragon known as Xersorrad - the White.

Though the details of the encounter do not survive in full, the legend claims that King Elos met and forged a deal with Xersorrad. In exchange for some undisclosed gift, the dragon would give up his lands and territory to the King's rule. Some versions of the story say that the King conquered the dragon in battle, other's that he beat him at a game of wits, and still others that his skill for diplomacy was so great, that he negotiated the dragon's lands away from it.

More likely, if the dragon ever existed, King Elos paid a major fee in gold and jewels for the land, or otherwise made a deal to serve as caretaker for a price. It cannot be known for sure what the true story was, as records of the era have become a closely guarded secret of the Kingdom, or else were destroyed altogether during the Morvanian Crusade.

Regardless of what the true story is, the myth holds a significant place in the legend of Elos. This can even be seen in the Kingdom's heraldry which features a dragon said to resemble Xersorrad. It is also why the King of Elos is known as "He who sits upon the White Throne"

Though the Dragon is thought of primarily in the context of the Kingdom's founding myth, there are still those who worship Xersorrad as the true master of Elos. This cult, known as The Choir of Xersorrad, abbreviated as just, "The Choir", are considered a terrorist organization who plots the destruction of the kingdom, and the return of the Dragon who once held dominion in these lands.
