Brigstone Mines

Brigstone Mines is typically used to talk about both the mines and the town that sprung up around then over the years. Back in the days of the Empire, the Mines were used to collect Flameheart Obsidion and Mithril for the Empire's War effort. Now that the Empire has crumbled, the past 100 years has turned the place into a strange mix of families rich enough to be nobles that dive into the mines every day. Finding the materials is dangerous and as such, there is money in it. 
Despite its proximity to Lavaflow Peak the actual town of Brigstone isn't that hot away from the mining camp. Closer to the mining camp several flows of Lava keep the temperature up, which means most of the miners are those who are resistant to heat, or hearty and stubborn enough to deal with it. 
There is good work for adventures to be found from the people of Brigstone, but anyone heading to the area had better be prepared. The guards they have on staff at Brigstone aren't pushovers and if they're calling someone in, it's a dangerous job. 
One of the most notable patrons in the city is Brandaby a fire Djinn from the plane of Fire that has just decided to... stick around. He has been here for hundreds of years, so many of the Fire Genasi around Maladase are at least loosely related to him.
Alongside Brandaby, the famous Brandaby's fine goods is in Brigstone, one of the few places in Maladase that will buy and sell magical weapons or armor.
