Magudonya

Welcome to Magudonya (literally the world of mages). It is a world where anybody with the knowledge of the appropriate rituals can bring about magickal effects. It is also a world where some are gifted with the innate ability to see and manipulate the particles of magick.   Magudonya is the setting for some of my role playing and some of my writing (i.e., 'Transgressions' by Phillip Berrie), and I plan to use this platform to help me organise my thoughts for both myself, my readers, and my players.   The Kingdom of Engle is the northern-most province of the sprawling Sorendenese Empire. According to the legends of this mainly brown-skinned race, they and their darker-skinned royal family came to this world from another many thousands of years ago. Many of the darker-skinned royal family were innate sorcerers and gained much power in this world. Power which led to their people thriving and conquering large parts of the local area of the continent.   The Kingdom of Engle was gifted to the Rafael family about a hundred years ago by the Empress Constantina for their help in putting down a rebellion within the Empire. Oran Maxwell Rafael the First established his home at the mouth of the Lyr River and named his capital city Constantine in honour of his imperial benefactor. It is his grandson who currently sit upon the throne: Oran Maxwell Rafael III.
