Revenge Rights
Revenge rights are an archaic tradition practiced in some countries in the southern part of the Sorendenese Empire.
Usually claimed by a family member of someone murdered by another person, it gives the person claiming the rights the first chance at revenge against the murderer.
Revenge rights in no way protect the person claiming them from the laws of the land, and the practice is officially outlawed, but occasional crimes are committed in their name in those parts of the Empire.
