Alfaren Magic

Being inherently magical creatures, all alfaren—and not just those who are innate sorcerers—can gain the ability to cast non-ritual spells, if they are prepared to work towards this goal.
However, alfaren who are not innate sorcerers, must draw on the magic that is in their bodies to cast their spells. Because of their magical nature, this can have deleterious effects on their bodies.
