Non-Magical Melee Wpn Augments
Melee weapons come in a variety of specialized categories. Skilled smiths can vary the execution from standard designs in order to create specialized effects. Normally, these mundane variations result in an augmentation of one effect with the sacrifice of another. For example, a heavier weapons may result in better damage but bring an increase in strength minimum, or reduction in chance to hit.
The creation of such items is based upon the availability of materials, and an appropriately skillled craftsperson. These individuals are commonly only available in highly populated areas but it may be possible to find them in smaller areas.
