Limbdeath

Limbdeath is a disease caused by microbes that enter open wounds in the skin. It causes the limb to have a bluish hue and become numb and useless. If not treated within , the limb will become gangrenous, leading to the loss of the limb or even death. The first symptom is usually numbness in the limb, followed by paralysis, and after twenty-four hours, tissue death.

Transmission & Vectors

Limbdeath enters through injury or open wounds exposed to Limbdeath bacteria.

Causes

It is caused by bacteria that may grow on rotting organic matter.

Treatment

Limbdeath can be treated through amputation of the infected tissue. This will prevent the eventual spread to the central nervous system.

In order to treat the disease and save any directly infected tissue, the victim must be treated wtih some version of Oede. It can also be treated with a dosage of Rendalim's Elixir.
