Longbows are weapons used by archers the world over and praised for their long range and powerful shots; they've been used as weapons by hunters and warriors for centuries, but they pale in comparison to the mighty war bows used by the Bibracte tribesmen. As their name implies the war bow is not intended as a hunting tool occasionally used to battle foes, the war bow is designed to kill enemies and has a longer pull and higher draw weights intended to pierce through even the heaviest mail or plates and war bows can deal devastating damage at longer ranges than regular bows. The technique for aiming these weapons while drawing across the chest is different than the firing of a traditional long bow and can only be developed over months or years of practice.

Only a few cultures practice the use of this weapon. This is a cultural weapon for these characters and counts as a martial weapon for them only. Characters from these cultures with martial weapon proficiency are trained to use this unique weapon. Anyone outside of these cultures may only learn this weapon by taking the Weapon Master feat.
