Dragonborn Lance

These special lances are crafted by the dragonborn in their mysterious homeland in the Estishian Islands. These 8 foot long lances are used during hunts for chromatic dragons and provide the warrior enough reach to keep some distance from their deadly foe. The design of these lances is such that they are balanced enough to be used like a spear by a trained wielder who can use it along with a shield, as a two handed weapon, or even from the back of a mount to deal devastating amounts of damage. Legend has it they are a pale copy of a magical weapon potent enough to wound or kill a dragon with little effort.

The dragonborn lance deals 1d8/piercing damage on foot or 1d12 while mounted and has the following properties: Heavy, Reach, Versatile 1d10/piercing

Significance

This is a cultural weapon for the dragonborn and counts as a martial weapon for dragonborn only. Dragonborn characters with martial weapon proficiency are trained to use this unique weapon. Anyone outside of dragonborn society may only learn this weapon by taking the Weapon Master feat.
