Magic-Folk

Humans with magical capacities; (noun)

Magic-folk are very rare, therefore this one term includes various magical talents, from spellcasting to prophetic visions. Homo-sapiens is not a magical species, therefore, humans with magical traits must have some sort of magion lineage. This lineage is often fae, going back generations to times when fae visited our world, but there have been cases of gnomidae or homoformus polymorphidae parantage. There is also a theory suggesting that a magical humanoid species was native to our world, but beame extint.
Magical lineage does not always become apparent in children of such unions, but can sometimes resurface in descendants generations on. It is unclear why this happens or how, but it is known that the magical 'element' can be weak or strong, regardless of the generation gap.
