Nruvu
Nruvu is a scrub that can grow to be up to three feet tall, and produces bright red berries that can have a peralyzing affect on the body.
Basic Information
Growth Rate & Stages
The red berries of the Nruvu have small seeds inside of them. Normally, if eaten, the seeds dissolve, however, Druids do not possess the same type of saliva. They do not digest the seeds, and so they pass through the body safely. From there, they germinate and grow. Similarly, the berries do not have the same paralyzing affect on Druids, and they are in fact considered a common foodstuff in Druid culture. The seeds then sprout, and can grow into Nruvu bushes.
Ecology and Habitats
The plant prefers generally mild tempertures with a freeze period during winter. They like shade, and usually grow at the base of trees, benefiting from rich soil from decidious leaves and animal remains.
Biological Cycle
Nruvu produce small, pink flowers in spring, which then turn into berries by late May. The berries are ripe through early July, and then they go through a second cycle of blossoms in August, making berries in September and October before going dorment for the winter.
