Maetheria

In the 400 years since the army of the Sorceress ravaged the land, the world has changed. Technology has risen given the average man and woman the power of a wizard. Cars have replaced horses. The marvel of modern technology allowing for instant communication.   Even now, however, no one is truly safe. Demons haunt the back alleys, just beyond sight, but everpresent. Magic is used by serial killers and politicians alike to do dark deeds. Death is ever present and the cost of a life in Maetheria is often cheap.   In this mix of technological and magical horror, people do what they can to survive. Some ignore the atrocities that happen around them, hoping that luck will be their savior. Others still skulk in the shadows picking the meat from the bones of those whose luck ran out.
