The world of Madalhadra is a land whose distant past has been wiped from the annals of history. Once molded by gods who waged wars ravaging the very foundations of mortal existence, they now decorate the Planescape with their corpses. As the scars of their battle began to heal, their corpses now haunt the lands of the living. The various civilizations of Madalhadra is now deeply submerged in a conflict to attain the essence of now-dormant gods, all to either secure the resources they need for survival, or for conquering. However, what our focus is upon is the country of Mutenkami, a land that, despite the crippling blow to the usage of magic dealt to it, continues to prosper in the age of war infesting the world. The country is described as being alien compared to the rest of the world, being a place where gods reside in the same lands as mortals, where the cities are said to touch the skies, where technology is king, the spiritual is almost magical, and the lands are more than what one can see.   If one wishes to seek out the heart innovation, they may want to seek out one of the four Hashira (Tower) Metropolizes of Mutenkami, vertically sprawling cities where many of the world's most prolific researchers and inventors gather. Not only are they the birthplace of firearms, power-cell prosthetics, self-propelled vehicles, and much more, but they remain on the cutting edge of the world's technology. Those dwelling in the Hashiras will have the opportunity to serve in either the military or criminal organizations like the Iriya (Divine Police Force) or Ryoshi (Prowlers).   Pilgrims seeking enlightenment, either through the spiritual or divine, oft travel to remote mountain ranges or to abyssal chasms, where great sages, spirits, or gods have roosted for longer than history can tell. Here, where common sense is non-sensical, where the brink of human reason is reached, is where the greatest of specialists and monks are forged.   While many magic users may face hardship in using magic within the borders of Mutenkami due to the regions unique nature, this does not deter as many people as one would think. Many institutions dot the landscape of the country, where the magic is infused with the ancient traditions of Mutenkami, and where careful research to eke out even the tiniest bit of increased efficiency from spells. This strong-willed approach to the arts of magic has birthed new forms of magics, some bordering on the spiritual, others seamlessly blending the combination of magic and technology.   Those that wish to temper their martial prowess to the mortal limits or to submerge themselves deep in nuances occultic knowledge can delve beyond the fathomless deep underground networks to try their luck with the sharp-witted and vicious Oni-folk. They live amongst and hunt the most dangerous of creatures, their tribalistic society and traditions seem as alien to those that dwell above. However, it is their brutal efficiency that allows them to attain rare treasures that hide within the shadowy folds of the earth.
