Uppgårdskolan, Stenhamra

The school is located in the community Stenhamra. They have nice newly renovated premises and nature and the forest near the school.
Uppgårdskolan is a school for grades 6-10. The students are divided into annual courses and teaching groups. The school strives to ensure that the teaching groups are flexible within the year. We work to find working methods and methods that give all students a good foundation to stand on.
This is the school most kids will attend. Before year 6 (11 year old), they will go to their primary schools. After year 10 (at 16) they are off to the Gymnasiet (college) or apprenticeships.
The school also hosts the main Library , which is famous for its wide selection of unexpected texts and provides access to some hotly contested computers.

Purpose / Function

This school is essentially a middleschool for the island. Kids living throughout the area cycle to school or catch the bus every morning. A small school in a tight knit community, it is nonetheless the stage for many dramas (like any school).
Funding from Riskenergi has certainly helped with the equipment at the school and the Science Labs are better equipped than many other schools of this type. As it caters for the children of some of the international scientist employed at the Loop, language teaching (including Swedish as a foreign language) is well established and many clubs aim to integrate new kids into Swedish culture.

Alterations

In the Basement, @Prutte and Mona built a secret cyborg lab... Prutte lives here and uses it to construct new copies of himself, trying to address the flaws in his design.

Architecture

A two storey building put up in the 1960s, it is more modern than charming.
