The Dragon Wars

Introduction

The dragon war is the largest and longest ongoing conflict in Lysandus. The war had been ongoing since just before the formation of Aldaria as a country. It  started out as a feud between brothers over the throne of Drakonia.  It was largely considered over by Koraki's reign.

The Conflict

Prelude

When Natas Kanosis was named the crown prince of Drakonia, his elder brother Iova grew furious. Though the revocation of the crown was not a decision on Natas' or Kyrazosanz Kanosis- Dark Sun Born By Koraki S. Kanosis part Iova targeted them in bitter rivalry. The tensions grew and by time Kyrazosanz became king it became a war.

Outcome

There is a temporary peace between the dragons of Lysandus and those who aided Iova. The country is in shambles, the planet is in shambles even those far from Eldurina. The Church of Gori formed to rebel against Koraki. Other country leaders enacted similar anti magic or anti dragon laws after Gori vanished. Searching these places for Iova assuming he was behind it proved fruitless.

Aftermath

Dragon population is in serious decline. Yenma of course only has wyverns but now Eldurina is lacking in most dragon species. Half dragons are also surprisingly rare due to the late in war policy of slaying them too. Early in the war with dragons hiding as elf or celestial half dragon population had increased.

Historical Significance

The war started as nothing more than a family feud over who was the true heir to the throne. Factions formed and people took sides with many the celestials siding with Iova. It is Iova's curse that killed Kyrazosanz and Aldra. His whisperings turned Hurston against dragons as well as Gori. No one knows why he is still doing this as he no longer seems to be trying to take over the throne but just to cause havoc over the descendants of Natas.
