Phoenix Blade

The Phoenix Blade, also known as Valdemar, is a magic blade given to Ru'uk Tuskless by Eldreth at their first meeting. Though Eldreth was quite aware of the sword's nature and importance, he knew that Ru'uk was to be it's proper owner. The soul of Valdemar Melesombre is housed within the blade, and in the Wayfaring Strangers' final confrontation with Vecna, Valdemar is vital in sealing him again. The spirit of Valdemar communicates with whoever wields it, as long as they are deemed worthy by Valdemar. In dangerous situations, when the wielder risks their life for a good cause, the Phoenix Blade reveals it's true power, erupting in holy flames.
