Night of Destined Death

Circa 1481 In the early months of this year, a prophecy was declared to King Dorick by a seer named Apheera who had come from a far away land. This prophecy foretold of a night when the king and all of those loyal to him would be wiped from the face of Lyceia. Kind Dorick who was known for, among other things, his strategy, decided to take Apheera as an advisor and seer for the kingdom of Felldoran. Months passed and King Dorick grew increasingly paranoid, isolating himself from his family and those who had been close to him. At midnight on the night of midwinter solstice, the prophecy was realized. The king and all of his advisors, save Apheera, were killed simultaneously with a dagger to the heart. This was an uncannily coordinated attack as all were killed at different locations across the world. Investigations into these murders were met with dead ends. Those who had been in the presence of these men and women awoke from induced sleep to find them murdered, having no memory of the event.
