Illyndor's Tome of Lyceian Tongues

An elvish artifact, this book contains all the languages of the world in it's pages.
Illyndor, an ancient elf who is remembered as the first to widely explore Lyceia. Without his pilgrimage, many of the elven kingdoms wouldn't have known of each other's existence. More importantly, during his travels, Illyndor developed a love and curiosity for the regional variances in the elven speech. From this love, Illyndor became curious about the tongue of the dwarves after they were discovered. Still the only elf ever allowed to dwell amongst the dwarves, Illyndor drafted a complete record of the dwarven language which became the second language documented in the tome. Illyndor spent the better part of the next thousand years travelling Lyceia documenting the languages of the Aasimar of Uru, the gnomish speech and even the Kenji, the language of the continent with the same name. Illyndor's natural goodness and extroverted personality (uncommon for elves) made the peoples of these cultures trust and accept him. After his pilgrimage, Illyndor returned home to the Elven Tree of Light with a tome containing all of the major languages that were spoken and written across all of Lyceia's. Having access to these languages laid the foundations for international trade routes and the tome, now called Illyndor's Tome of Lyceian Tongues, is still considered the gold standard for translation and linguistic research.
