The Phoenix Coast
The Phoenix Coast is a name referring to the southern coast of Adria, along the Calbor Sea, between the mouths of the Kinmouth and Kudru rivers. Here the climate is beautiful year-round, and various coastal cities and towns are kept prosperous by the sea trade passing between the Adrian capital city of Jyfeng and the region's crown jewel - Helea, "The Phoenix" - located at the western edge of the Republic. Many of the wealthiest of the wealthy among all of the eastern lands live on the Phoenix Coast - either in bustling cities like Helea or in small, picturesque, shorefront towns like Pethe.
The region's name stems from it's triumphant recovery in the years after The Perfect Dusk. Being both distant from the worst of the fighting along the Lines and yet also crucial to the operation of the Main Line itself, as well as being incredibly prosperous, it is easy for those living here to take pride in their people's ability to hold The Dim at bay and simultaneously maintain a relatively carefree and comfortable standard of living. This, it is seen by many, is the first true "rising from the ashes" for all that is good in Lurra.
