Athexand

Athexand is the capital of Metriash, and the largest known free city - larger even than the Adrian capital, Jyfeng, or other large cities of The Line. Athexand owes its prominence to its role as the logistical and symbolic center of the Ikeran religious tradition. The first temple to Aitor exists here, located where Iker received his visitation from the great deity. This massive temple compound, overseen by the High Priest, now serves as everything from a place to worship to a headquarters for the multitude of Ikeran priests who are sent throughout the free lands to maintain The Night Veil.
