Momonomo (mo-mo-no-mo)
The city of Momonomo is the largest and most populous city in the Hopinehuan Empire, as well as its capital. It is located in Hopohu County, and is the strongest and most well-established port city in the country. Its citizens typically enjoy a prosperous existence, brought forth by all of the trade coming to and through the city. Most of its permanent residents are craftsmen or traders, though artisans are not uncommon to find either.
The Royal Castle is located in Momonomo as well, and sits at one of the northernmost parts of the city, close to the actual port itself. The Royal Family is intimately involved within the city, and are known to most of its inhabitants, including those of poorer or lower status. It is not uncommon to see members of the Royal Family out on the fishing boat with a local family of fishermen, or mingling within the Kingsmarket.
Interestingly, the town is technically owned by a Nasik and not a member of the Royal Family. This tradition has held true since the city was originally built in the year 17, and no one in or out of the Royal Family has ever desired to change it; they believe the prosperity of the city is the responsibility of the Nasik, and not the Royals.
Demographics
The majority of Momonomo's permanent inhabitants are members of the Loto, of which the primary species tend to be Feline. Most of its citizens are wealthy or middle class, though there is a notable population of poor citizens mainly gathered within the district of Greyend.
Districts
There are fourteen unique districts within Momonomo. It is split relatively into four sections: the North, South, East, and West Districts. The North District contains the Royal Castle, Hayforge, the Namagists' Chapels, Sha'el Heights, Northern Blackplace, the Castle District, and Anindyor. The South District contains Cachen, Southern Momonomo Port, Ivylane, Mantainbow's Gate, and Caedla. The West District contains Southern Blackplace, Greyend, Mykelum, and East Kingsmarket. The East District contains West Kingsmarket and Northern Momonomo Port.
