Vampire

Description The origins of Vampirism are muddled at best. Some spout tales of foul sorcery being the cause, or the wrath of some dark god. Some say that Vampirism was never a curse at all and that vampires have always existed. Vampires are undead, humanoid beings that have an obsession with blood. Everything they do, everything they are, is in pursuit of blood. The way they go about satisfying their obsession may vary from vampire to vampire, but the root of that obsession will always remain the same across the spectrum. That is their curse.   One becomes a vampire through blood bond. Mortals must be drained of their blood by a vampire and the blood lost needs to be replaced by some of the vampire's blood. The vampire and mortal must then sleep in the ground until the following night where they rise.   Vampire's greatest weakness to them is sunlight; if a vampire is out during the day, then they are more than likely covered from head to toe to avoid the danger the sun's rays provide.
*It is recommended that players wanting to play a vampire should have an alt character to be able to attend daytime activities. Vampire players not dressed accordingly during the day will receive IC consequences deemed fit by staff.

When creating a Vampire, their alignment falls within Lawful Neutral to Chaotic Evil. We encourage players wishing to break alignment arcs to journal their characters' experiences that lead up to it.

Players wishing to play a Vampire must submit a rare race application to staff for approval.

Current players wishing to turn into a Vampire must submit a short story, documenting their experience of turning. Please allow a minimum of two OOC weeks to pass after creating your human before submitting your stories. Stories should be well thought out, and make sense for your character to be changing. Staff holds the right to deny any applicants wishing to change.

A Vampire is turned by a blood bond; no bites, no scratches. Any sheets or stories that hint at scratches or bites causing their transformation will be rejected immediately. Vampires may feed off of thralls and/or players (with consent). We encourage that you document your feedings in #journals-and-stories.

Players roleplaying a Vampire CANNOT inflict vampirism upon another player. (Therefore, another PC Vampire should not be named in your story for your blood bond.)

Only Standard humanoid shaped species may be vampires. Meaning: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Half-Elves, Half-Orcs, Halflings, Goblins and Orcs.

Vampires may hail from either Thuria or Faerun. We leave you creative freedom to flavour it to your liking accordingly to which lore your prefer as long as the basic points on this page are respected.

Character Build

A vampire will typically have a charcoal gray or alabaster skin tone supported by eyes of a crimson hue with varying intensity based on age. Hair color will vary, and their unnatural appearance can be hidden through magical or more natural means to appear more “Mortal”. The fangs of a vampire are elongated, retractable maxillary teeth used to pierce flesh and allow the vampire to gain access to blood for feeding purposes. Their appearance varies depending on the species they belonged to before becoming a vampire. See the appropriate articles of other races for information on the minimum and maximum heights.     Roleplay Redux Racial Abilities:
